I am very confused. Brian de Palma did this? Sure, it is shot professionally and it has a good enough cast of B-grade actors. But did the world need this movie? Surely not. It’s just a utterly forgettable and mildly entertaining. straight-to-DVD-grade movie. If you enjoyed “Dressed to Kill”, “Scarface” or “Blow Out”, and if you want to preserve your respect for Brian de Palma, then I would advise you NOT to watch this. The guy is pushing 80. Maybe it’s time to retire.
I should also point out a major technical flaw: the sound mixing is terrible. Dialog is low volume and the background music is kept stubbornly on the foreground. It’s really annoying.
